Of Cabbages and Kings

Fri Nov 13, 2009, 1:07 PM
So, I haven’t written one of these up in a while. I quit my writing class. Too much stress for me to bear at the moment when I’m trying to find a job. I can only handle so much at the moment. If you look in my favorites under commissions you will see a list of new arts found for my story – which by the way I deleted for editing purposes – and you get to see artist’s representation of my characters from my descriptions.

First off I am in the major editing portion of my story. I’m only up to ninety-five pages but I want to get some editing done before I charge ahead and write more. Not to mention I had to take all connotations of a very LARGE portion of something out of the story-line to make it work for the bigger plot. I’ve changed the names of two prominent characters. Isis is now Iris; based off of the Greek Goddess of the rainbow – quite fitting don’t you think since this story is based around the colors of the rainbow. Gregori is now Gerard; I changed the name merely because I found it suited him better. Other than that the additional characters names remain the same.

My internet may or may not be canceled at the end of this month due to reasons that cannot be disclosed at this time. I had to sell my PSP, all of its games, DS games, and flute for this issue as well. Let’s just say – I have a big problem right now and it’s going to take a while before I can have it fully taken care of. On a lighter side I am saving up for, or hoping to get this Christmas, an e-reader; the Barnes and Noble nook to be specific. At first I was averse to the idea of an e-reader but I have come to the conclusion that not only is it eco-friendly (I hope) but I sure as heck wouldn’t mind having my own personal library with me wherever I go. I mean – literally – all of my books at hand wherever I am. Let’s hope Santa is nice to me this year.

I won’t be going into the details of my life at this current moment because – well – I don’t want to bring myself down just when I’m starting to feel a little bit better. I have all of you in my prayers daily because all of you deserve it. Take care and thanks for reading! :)

About The Cookie Faerie/Fairy JacMother/Jacalyn:

I live in Sunny, Sweet, California! So Cal. Have all my life. I love it here despite the fact so many hate it. *shrugs* I enjoy being short. <3 That's why I'm generally called cute and fairy-ish. I'm not THAT short. I wish I was though. *tear* From my Favourites you can surmise what I dislike and like. GT, Faeries, Star Trek, Sesame Street Old School, Ireland, Scotland, Disney and basically anything fantastical. I'm a shoddy beginning writer and I love it! It's an experience I wouldn't give up. I like brown rice with CHEESE!!

Dislikes: I don't dislike very many things overall. Mainly people that force me into things I don't like. That is a big no-no. I will get out my machete and coffee cup, ask please and thank you, and then swipe your head off! D:< Nah. I'm not that evil. ^^;
